Plant Operations Manager – E-Waste Recycling
Job Overview
The Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end operations of the e-waste recycling facility. The role focuses on ensuring efficient plant performance, regulatory compliance, optimal utilization of manpower and machinery, and adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards. The incumbent will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete e-waste recycling operations including collection, segregation, dismantling, shredding, and material recovery.
- Manage operation and maintenance of shredders, conveyors, magnetic separators, granulators, and allied equipment.
- Ensure optimal plant capacity utilization and uninterrupted operations.
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production and recycling targets.
- Ensure compliance with CPCB/SPCB regulations and E-Waste Management Rules.
- Maintain statutory documentation, records, and audit readiness.
- Lead and manage a workforce of supervisors, engineers, operators, and contract labor.
- Conduct regular training on safe handling of e-waste and hazardous materials.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, yield enhancement, and recovery improvement.
- Reduce downtime, operational losses, and processing costs.
- Implement Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards and promote an accident-free workplace.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, maintenance, compliance, and sales teams.
- Liaise with downstream processors, vendors, and government authorities.
- Support management in capacity expansion and new line installations.

- E-waste processed versus planned capacity.

Qualifications
- MBA in Operations, Supply Chain, or Industrial Management preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong experience in plant production and operations management.
- Hands-on exposure to shredder-based recycling plants will be preferred.
